climbing hakusan

after last years terrible weather ruined our attempt to climb hakusan, i knew i wanted to get back there. This time the weather was perfect to climb the 3rd tallest mountin in japan. A beautiful sunny and clear day on the way up, and then a cold and misty trip back down the mountain. We ran into a group of pilgrims or some type of group on the way back down the mountain dressed in traditional clothes but with all brand new equipment, it was a strange sight to see them go chugging by chanting all the way up the mountin.
